Kaseya is a large, PE-backed provider of IT and security management software for MSPs and internal IT teams, offering RMM, PSA, backup, and security tools through its own products (Kaseya VSA) and a series of major acquisitions including Datto, Unitrends, and IT Glue. Founded in 2000, Kaseya is widely known for the July 2021 REvil ransomware supply-chain attack, in which attackers exploited a vulnerability in Kaseya VSA to deploy ransomware to MSPs and their downstream customers — one of the largest supply-chain ransomware incidents on record.
